A showcase of recent donations that are part of the Norman and Dorothea Whitten South American collection. Collected primarily in the 1960s and 1980s, the majority of pieces on display were created and used by the Canelos Quichua of Amazonian Ecuador, althrough some were used by the Shuar of Amazonian Ecuador.
The two themes of this display are "Materials and Skills," which highlights tools related to weaving and fishing, and "Festivals and Celebrations," with a display of masks and objects used in different regional celebrations.
